Why I built Settled
I built Settled to make it easier to help your parents without having to work everything out alone. There are conversations to start, decisions to make, and practical things to organize — usually alongside your job and your own family.
I want Settled to give you a clear place to begin: guidance you can understand, resources you can use and share, and help finding the right people when you need them. Wherever your family is right now, you should be able to find one useful next step.

Common questions
Who is Settled for?
Adult children helping aging parents, at any point from the first conversations through settling an estate. It is written for the person doing the arranging.
Is this legal, medical, or financial advice?
No. Settled publishes general guidance. Anything specific to your parent’s circumstances or your state needs a licensed professional.
What will it cost to use?
Nothing. Guidance, checklists and referrals are free for families, at every stage and wherever you live. If a provider ever has a commercial relationship with Settled, its listing will say so.
How do providers get listed?
The criteria are still being defined. The intent is that each listing shows how the provider came to be there, including any commercial relationship.
